How to compress files on iPhone and iPad

The "Files" app has undergone major upgrades with iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, and finally supports external storage on iPhone and iPad. However, one of the small things is local support for Zip files. You no longer need to download third-party applications and play randomly between different applications to open Zip files.

To compress files, you first need to add them to the "Files" application. You can easily do this using the "sharing" table.

In this example, we will guide you through the process of compressing and decompressing photos from the Photos application, but it can work with any other type of document.

Open the "Photos" app and navigate to the album containing your photos. From there, click the "Select" button.
