Connect your smartphone to the television - that's how it works

Connect your smartphone to the television

There are many ways to connect your smartphone to the TV. This can be done, for example, via Chromecast, Samsung Streaming, Apple Tv, DLNA, and many other ways.

1st possibility: Connect the smartphone and the television with Chromecast

The first method is wireless and is implemented using Google's Chromecast.
  • The small stick is simply plugged into a free HDMI slot and connected to power via USB or a plug.
  • Then all you have to do is connect the stick to your WLAN. All devices that are in the same WLAN now have access to the stick.
  • For example, you can transfer all of your content from the PC screen to the stick.
  • This also works with Android. To do this, open the Google Home app, click on your Chromecast, and at the bottom click on "Stream screen". Then confirm it again with "Stream screen" to establish a connection.
  • To end the screen transfer, go back to the Google Home app, on your Chromecast and press "Stop mirroring".
  • Depending on the smartphone, you can alternatively swipe down from the top edge twice on the home screen and start the screen transfer in the quick settings. You can quit it in the same way from the quick settings.
  • The Chromecast costs around 37 euros.
